| Koul hails enhancement of cash relief for migrants | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 11: The chairman rural development society (RDS) Migrants cell in his statement has expressed happiness over the enhancement of cash relief for the migrants of Kashmir Valley and thanked Chief Minister for his approach towards solving the problems of migrants. He said further that this cash relief should be further increased it in these hard times, and requested the Chief Minister to increase it at least rupees one thousand five hundred per soul for month. He said Govt. should formulate a return policy of migrants and they should be rehabilitated at three District Head Quarters Srinagar, Barmullah and Anantnag. For confidence building measures Shrine Bill for protection of temples and shrines should be passed by the legislature. Moreover some property comprising houses, land has been encroached by some anti-social elements. And as said concerned authorities should be geared up to evacuate them form these encroached properties. A number of migrants face a lot of difficulty in getting rent of their shops, houses form Govt. and private concerns. He requested the minister Raman Bhalla to accommodate many non-camp migrants in two room flats at Jagti as most of them are living in rented rooms. |
