| Roopnagar housing colony lack basic amenities | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 11: The Roop Nagar welfare Association in a monthly meeting, chaired by O. P. Kesar viewed the attitude of the departments maintaining the colony. Kesar said Jammu Development Autho-rity which maintain road, lanes drains and parks etc. is neglecting all these infrastructure in the colony with the result public is suffering badly in the absence of these basic amenities and said JDA has a battery of engineering staff to look after roads, lanes, drains and parks etc but is doing nothing. The association demands that the government should take a performance report form the JDA for the year 2009-10 till date in comparison with all perks drawn by the engineering and other staff,. JDA deliberately, did not allow patch work on roads connecting Shri Aap Shambu Temple, at Roop Nagar, during Shir Mahashivratri festival 2010, the work being attended by the JDA since 1985 was totally ignored.
