| 4 teenagers rescued from joining LeT ranks | | | JAMMU: Four teenagers were today rescued by 11 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and police in Keshwan forests of Kishtwar while they were going to join Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) ranks. They were identified as Saddam Hussain Sheikh, son of Ghulam Haider Sheikh of Giri Nagar, Kishtwar, Nayeem Ahmad Bhat, son of Ashiq Hussain Bhat of Giri Nagar, Khalid Zuber Sheikh, son of Shamimudin of Rizare Paddar and Amar Naquib, son of Altaf Hussain of a locality close to Kamgar masjid, Kishtwar. While Saddam and Nayeem study in 8th standard, the other two are ninth class students. All of them had been motivated to join LeT group headed by top Lashkar commander Habib Gujjar, police sources said. They left homes in the morning to join the militant ranks. Sources said soon after cops were tipped off about their intentions, jawans of police and 11 RR fanned out in Keshwan forests in their search. While combing the woods, jawans captured all the four boys and brought them to Kishtwar town. After questioning, they were handed over to their parents, the sources added. It is pertinent to mention that Inspector General of Police Jammu, A.K.Gupta,IPS has directed all district SsSP of Jammu Zone to take appropriate action against those who are luring the youths for joining the militancy . He emphasised upon them to remain extra vigilant and take firm action against anyone trying to disturb peace and tranquillity in Jammu Zone.
