JAMMU, May 12: Gautam Jamwal, Aditya Sharma and Arjun Manhas among five cueists today sailed into the second round of the junior snooker event in the ongoing 20th Jammu District Open Billiards and Snooker Championships at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here. It was straight frames victory for today's winners in the first round of the competitions, which shall continue tomorrow also. However, Aseem Gupta had some close contest against Akshay Mahajan before he won the match 2-0. Meanwhile, according to the organizing secretary of the competitions, 64 entries have been received in the junior snooker event. The second round of the junior snooker event shall commence from May 14. Today's matches were officiated under the guidance of Surjit singh and Rakesh Sharma, both markers. The Detailed First Round Results: Gautam Jamwal bt Karan Malhotra (2-0) 61-32, 68-08; Aditya Sharma bt Vikram Sharma (2-0) 66-33, 54-42; Arjun Manhas bt Sahil Sharma (2-0) 53-18,74-34.
