| Labourer killed in "blast" in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 12: A labourer was killed and nearly a dozen others were injured in a blast which was caused by them for the widening of the Kishtwar-Dachchan road. The dead was identified as Zakir Hussain of Shan Chatroo near Kuchan.The victims were engaged for the widening of the road and the mishap occured at about 8 am while they were blasting a narrow stretch.
A police officer, however, said Zakir had not died of blasting, but was killed after he slipped into Passin nullah on the Kishtwar-Dachchan road.He said no incident of blasting had taken place in the area.
