| MLA participates in militants' funeral | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU: MLA Langat, Engineer Abdul Rashid today offered Nimaz-e-Jinaza (funeral prayers) to three militants slain in an encounter with the troops at Handwara. This is the first time when a sitting MLA has participated in the funeral prayers of militants. Rashid addressed the mourners and put the blame on India and Pakistan for bloodshed in Jammu Kashmir. Earlier, Rashid and his supporters guarded the bodies of the slain militants at Handwara for the whole night.
