| Missing man's body recovered from snow | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU: The body of one of the three persons of a family, who were killed in an avalanche at Chatargala in Bhaderwah, Doda, in February this year, was recovered last evening.
Official sources said Ghulam Haider (60), his wife Saja Begum and son Gulistan were hit by an avalanche at Chatargala while they were on their way from Kathua to Bhaderwah along with their daughter and son-in-law.
While others had escaped, Haider, Saja and Gulistan were washed away by the avalanche on the fateful day.
Haider's body was recovered last evening due to the melting of upper layer of snow, the sources added.
Sources hoped that the bodies of his wife and son would also be recovered soon.
Haider's body was recovered by army troops while they were on routine patrolling in the area.
