| JKVDA: Govt fail to redress demands of veterinary doctors | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 13: The state veterinary doctors association (JKVDA) have expressed serious concern over governments failure to redress the genuine demands of veterinary doctors. President JKVDA, Dr. MT Krishan in a meeting of association resented the delay in the conduction of DPC, as a result of which the officers are retiring in higher cadres without confirmations Dr. Krishan also pointed that delay in promotions have resulted in large scale vacancies in higher cadres as a result officers holding charges of many posts are unable to do justice to the profession. He appealed minister, Agha Ruhulla Mehdi to intervene personally for ensuring ‘one person one post’ formula by filling up of all vacant posts. Other demands raised in the meeting were re-organization of Animal/ sheep husbandry departments by decentralization to pan-chayat level and declaring VASs as panchayat veterinary officers with full fledged technical infrastructure at veterinary hospitals, removal of pay anomaly with central government veterinary doctors by sanctioning NPA at par with them, nomination for MVSc on full pay and cubbing of sheep/ sheep products development board with sheep husbandry department. The members who spoke on the occasion include Dr RK Anand, Dr Mohd Sajjad, Dr UK Sharma, Dr Satish Bhardwaj, Dr Vikas Gupta and Dr VK Kalsotra.
