| Girls' competitions of Khour zone begins | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 13: Annual inter-school competitions of Jourian zone started today in kho-kho and kabaddi in under-14 and under-17 age categories at Government Higher Secondary School, Khour in Tehsil Akhnoor.
After the completion of boys' events, the two-day girls' competitions were declared open by Principal of the host school, Brij Lal, who was chief guest.
The competitions are being organised under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Sarita Pandha and Ram Lal Sharma. In all, 175 participants are taking part in two day competitions.The Detailed Results: Kho-Kho U-17: GHS Khour bt HS Kotmehra by one point; HS Pallanwala bt HS Naryana. Kabaddi U-17: GHS Hamirpur Sidhar bt HS Naryana by 20 points. Kabaddi U-14: MS Hamirpur Sidhar bt MS KGharian by 20 points; MS Hamirpur Sidhar bt MS Pangali by 10 points.
JOURIAN ZONE: Girls inter-school competitions also got underway in Jourian Zone. The Results: Kabaddi U-17: GMS Bakara bt MS Dhok Khansa by 23 points; GMS Dhok Khansa bt GMS Manchaka by 19 points. Kho-Kho-U-14: GHS Jourian won the title; KHo-KHo U-17: GHS Jourian bt HS Manchaka by 14 points.
