Begun under the guidance of SAI coach, Veena Sharma, the said coaching camp was later visited by former Ranji cricketers, Surinder Singh Bagal and Harsh Nayar. Now, the selected women out of this camp shall visit Srinagar to play three matches against their counterparts from Kashmir as part of the preparedness for the season ahead. "The ongoing coaching camp for Jammu girls shall, most probably, conclude tomorrow. Out of these 25 campers, selected women would visit Srinagar to play matches against team representing the Kashmir wing," vice-chairman of JKCA Jammu wing, Shambu Nath said. He further informed that the JKCA is also contemplating a plan to either invite an outside state team or send the state girls to a neighbouring state for friendly matches. "The matches with outside teams have been planned in an attempt to give exposure to the state women cricketers as also to build match temperament," informed the vice-chairman.
