| Old man rescued, 2 kidnappers held | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 13: A 75-year-old man, who was abducted by two persons few days back from Ugad in Doda, was today rescued by police from their clutches at Batote. The accused -- Mohan Lal and Mohammad Aslam -- were arrested and booked under relevant sections of law.They had a prolonged land dispute with Duni Chand (75). Police sources said while Duni hailed from Ugad, the accused were residents of the nearby Badi village. After the old man went missing, his family lodged a report with Doda police station following which all police stations and checking points in Doda were alerted, the sources added. Sources said a tip-off today led cops to a hideout of Mohan and Aslam where they had locked Duni in a room. In the police raid, the accused were arrested and the victim was freed, the sources added.
