| Decks cleared for shifting of "Kashir Channel" to Srinagar | | | Srinagar, October 16: The Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priyaranjan Das Munishi in a meeting with Union Water Resources Minister Prof.Saif-ud-Din Soz pledged to shift "Kishr Channel" to Srinagar very soon.
During his meeting with Priyaranjan Das Munshi, Pof Soz brought to his notice the dimensions and implications of the maneuvers of an organized vested interest that scuttled the efforts to transfer the "Kishr Channel" to Srinagar in past. Appreciating the situation of disquiet in the minds of general run of writers, artists and litterateurs in Kashmir for the transfer of "Kishr Channel" to Kashmir, Priyaranjan Dasmunshi categorically assured Prof.Soz that Kashir Channel would be transferred to Srinagar very soon. Hailing Priyaranjan Dasmunshi for his bold initiative, Prof. Soz urged him to announce the decision during his forthcoming visit to Kashmir valley.
