Non Gazette forest officers hold meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 14: The all J&K non-Gazette forest officers association along with J&K forest ministerial staff association in a joint meeting chaired Jaswant Singh discussed the out-come of forcibly entering forest land at Bachan sale depot by the JDA officials here the other day. Meeting was told that the land belongs to forest department and is under the possession of J&K state forest corporation. To take over the land without proper permission from higher authorities of the forest department the SFC is not competent to handover the possession to any agency .he said during the episode some persons from JDA forcibly entered by breaking the main gate with stones and started manhandled with SFC staff posted in the depot where the timber worth crores of rupees and other components are lying. The staffs including lady staff were brutally manhandled and the depot staff obtained multiple injuries during the scuffle. The association demanded disciplinary action be initiated under J&k forest conservation Act and J&K forest Act against the offenders to restore the losing status of SFC Employees who were performing Official duty when un wanted episode occurred. Among others present in the meeting were sukhbir Singh, Ravi Kumar, B.S. Jasrotia, Mumtaz R.D Singh, Mahesh Abrol, Jeet Raj. Raghubir Singh Gurcharan Singh, Ramesh Sharma Darshan Kumar, Avinash Kumar, Ashish Bhandari and Rakesh Kumar.
