| Awareness camp on AIDS/HIV held at Gangyal | | | JAMMU, OCTOBER 16 -One day awareness camp on AIDS/HIV today organized by ICDS Project Gandhi Nagar at Anganwari Centre at Gangyal. The objective of the camp to create awareness among the masses regarding AIDS/HIV. About 130 local ladies participated on the occasion.
Corporator Ward No. 56 Mr. Satish Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
About ten anganwari workers spoke on the occasion. Dr. Sushma apprised the masses about the dreadful diseases AIDS/HIV, its causes, symptoms and prevention.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satish Sharma stressed upon the masses to avail the benefits of ICDS in all aspects and threw lights on AIDS/HIV and also on the burning spread of Dengue. He stressed to keep surrounding neat and clean to avoid the spread of dengue.
Child Development Project Officer Mrs. Trishla Kundal asked the women folk to come forward and educate others how to prevent AIDS/HIV.
Corporator, Mr. Satish Sharma distributed prizes among the first three best speakers.
President Ekta Vihar, Sr Baldev Singh, Dr. Sushma and CDPO Gandhi Nagar Mr. Trishla Kundal were present.
