| Idols of Hanuman, Vaishnodevi installed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 16: Idols of Lord Hanuman and Goddess Vaishnodevi were installed amid chanting of religious prayers and hymns in the premises of Panch Mandir, Channi-Himmat on Sunday. On the occasion large number of disciples and local residents of Channi Himmat were assembled in the temple premises and participated in the rituals and satsang. The religious fervour was at its peak when both the idols were first worshiped and later installed inside the under construction temple premises in the presence of priests,members of the management committee and disciples in large numbers. One of the members of the Panch Mandir Management committee Pravin Gupta said that today two idols of Lord Hanuman and Mata Vaishnodevi were installed in a simple ceremony. He said Panch Mandir Management committee is committed to build a majestic temple which can be showcased on the tourist circuit in the coming times. He said just as famous temples Raghunath Mandir, Ranbireshwar Mandir figure in the list of tourist hot spots they also endeavor to make Panch Mandir one of the masterpieces to attract pilgrim traffic in large numbers. He said the construction work in the temple premises started in year 2000 and the work is still going on. Artisans from Jaipur have been engaged for marble work. A non-commercial big community hall is also constructed by the Panch Mandir Management committee for religious gatherings. After the ceremony a community langar was also organised in the temple premises and 'Prasad' was distributed by the priests.
