| Abducted girl rescued by people at Sunderbani | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 16: A 20-year-old girl was today rescued by people at Laman in Sunderbani, Rajouri, after her abductors tried to molest her in a car.
The girl was returning home from a beauty parlour when Babu Ram and Sunny allegedly intercepted her at Siot and then bundled her into their car, police sources said.
The duo later parked the car at a deserted place near Laman village and allegedly tried to molest the girl. Her screams attracted the attention of villagers who caught hold of the miscreants and gave them a sound beating, the sources added.
While Babu managed to escape, Sunny was overpowered by the villagers and handed over to police. The car was also seized. Sources said the girl was later restored to her parents. Police had registered a case in this connection.
