JAMMU, May 16: Semi-finals line up has been drawn with the entry of Nitin Sharma, Jaswinder Singh, Ishan Chowdhary and Bhuran Khan in the last eight positions in junior snooker event of the ongoing 20th Jammu District Open Billiards and Snooker Championships at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Now, in the semifinals, to be played tomorrow, Jaswinder shall take on Burhan Khan at 12 noon while Ishan Choudhary shall be playing against Nitin Sharma 2 pm. The semifinals shall be played on best of five format.
Earlier, defending champion, Ishan trounced Abhishek Goswami in a well fought contest 2-1. The first two frames witnessed a close fight with both winning one each. However, in the decider, Ishan played some brilliant potting and did not allow his opponent to event touch the double figure mark in the best of three game making it a 61-03 win.
One of the quarterfinal ended in walkover with Bhuran Khan making it into the semi-finals in absence of Hitesh Pandit, who failed to report the venue in the given time.
Meanwhile, the senior snooker matches shall start from May 18 from 12 noon.

Jaswinder Singh bt Aseem Ghai (2-1) 45-57, 63-54, 64-24; Ishan Chowdhary bt Abhishek Goswami (2-1) 62-43, 42-44, 61-03; Bhuran Khan got walkover Hitesh Pandit.
