Saroori lays foundation of Rest House at Sinthantop

ANANTNAG, May 16: Minister for R&B, G M Saroori laid foundation of a rest house and shelter shed at Sinthantop on Anantnag-Kishtwar road, aimed to provide staying facilities to the passengers traveling on this route.
The Rest House would be constructed by R&B department with state of the art facilities like lodging, boarding, medicare, telecommunication and other ancillary facilities.
He instructed engineers to complete Shelter Shed within two months.
Minister also announced that a police post would be established at Sinthantop and the matter would be taken up with the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah soon.
Saroori became the first Minister, who traveled on this road, after its opening yesterday and started direct bus service from Kokernag to Innshen besides Anantnag to Kishtwar via Innshen.
Interacting with a group of people at ChannGam, Saroori said that the road would serve an important inter-regional link besides developing socio-economic ties between the people of Kishtwar and Anantnag districts.
He said it was the dream of the people of both the districts, which turned into reality by the collective efforts of the government and the people.
Minister said that efforts are on to construct a tunnel at Vailoo to shorten the travel distance on this inter-regional route. He said more facilities would be created at different station en route for the convenience of the travelers.
Minister said the Yatries, intending to visit to Amarnath cave could use this route adding that it would help in boosting religious tourism in the state besides exploiting tourism potential in the area.
He said that the road would open new vistas of prosperity in the twin districts once it is fully macadamized. "Certain people are trying to create confusion between the coalition formation, but nobody would be allowed to enervate the roots of the coalition formation" Saroori asserted.
