IRP 11th battalion celebrates 'Raising Day'

Jammu, May 16: The IRP-11th Bn. based at Miran Sahib celebrated its 4th Raising day today at Miran Sahib. The Bn.was raised in the year-2006. On the occasion, IGP Dilbag Singh, was chief guest was presented guard of honour at an impressive Parade and March-past held on the occasion. Senior police officers of the Armed Police, Retired officers, NGO's and a large number of Jawans were present at the ceremony. The prominent among the participates were: - DIG AP Jammu. Commandant IRP-8TH Bn. Commandant IRP-3rd Bn. Commandant IRP-15th Bn. Commandant IRP-9th Bn. Commandant IRP-9th Bn. Commandant IRP-19th Bn. And DY.CO IRP -6th Bn. On the occasion a message was read out by the DGP J&K to the Battalion commandant and other officers and jawans that "I am happy to know that IRP-11th Battalion is celebrating its Raising Day on May 16th 2010.
The raising day is a time for self introspection as also carving out future plans. I convey my good wishes and blessings to all officers and jawans of the Battalion and would expect all of them to work, as always, with devotion and devotion and dedication to duty so as to achieve our goal of serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to mitigate their sufferings whatever." Commandant SP, Sham Sunder, while welcoming the chief guest and etc give a brief history of the Battalion and resume of the tasks performed by the Unit so far. IGP Dailbag Singh addressed the officers and all ranks of the battalion and appreciated the roll played by the Battalion in maintenance of peace and order in the state.
He also spoke about eh welfare measures being taken for the force at the level of APHQ, and PHQ. He asked the participate to work with same zeal and dedication and contribute in early restoration of total normalcy in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He also expressed his gratitude to those Police personnel who laid down their lives for the cause of their duties towards the people and the state.
