| Three held for stabbing student | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 16: Three of the five accused, who stabbed and seriously wounded Pawanpreet Singh -- an 11th class student of Ranbir Higher Secondary School -- at Kachi Chawni Friday, were today arrested by police. They were identified as Jasanjot Singh of Shastri Nagar, Usman of Trikuta Nagar and Jaiveer Singh of Nanak Nagar. They were arrested by a Pucca Danga police party from their hideouts. Two of the accused were still absconding. Police identified them as Raju and Sonu, both 11th class students of Ranbir school. Pawanpreet was stabbed and critically injured by the accused at the ever-busy Ranbir Library Chowk, Kachi Chawni, on Friday when he was returning home after taking his tution classes. Police said raids were being conducted to nab the remaining two accused. |
