| SRS opposes charging of toll tax for langars | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 19: The state unit of Shri Ram Sena (SRS) has appealed to the state government to make exemption for the security fee in respect of those persons who wants to arrange free langer for the yatries in a media interaction today. Speaking on the occasion, president Shri Ram Sena Rajiv Mahajan alleged that government is adopting the dictatorial attitude of the state government over the issue of security deposit to set up langars. He said that Sri Ram Sena is going to organize Jammu Bandh, in case the government does not revoke this anti-pilgrim order. Mahajan said that his organization is committed for the welfare of the pilgrims of the Sri Amarnath Shrine. He also said that the state government is not making any exemption on the security being charged from the langar parties to distribute the free langar to the pilgrims during the period of Yatra in the state. Let Shri Amaranth Shrine Board bears these expenses of security as well as the charges of toll taxes, he demanded Rajiv Mahajan also appealed to all the political, social as well as religious organisations, transport associations, student associations, bar association, chamber of commerce and retailers association to support Jammu Bandh on June 12. He further said Shri Ram Sena is not at all interested to observe Jammu Bandh adding that if state government takes back the order, they would revoke the call.
