| Gow Raksha Samiti to perform Mahayagya on May 22 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, May 19: To curb bovine smuggling through Punjab border at Lakhanpur ‘Gow Raksha Samiti’ took out a massive motorcycle rally started from Ram Leela Ground and travelled across entire town to urge upon government of Jammu and Kashmir to take strict measures to root out such heinous and anti social menace of bovine smuggling which touches the Hindu sentiments. They also speared the awareness among the people for protection of cow which is subjected to the deity. The rally comprised of several Hindu organizations like ABVP, VHP, and Bajrang Dal and Panthers Party also. The senior activist ‘Gow Raksha Samiti’ Gian Singh Pathania, District President Panther Party Ravinder Singh Pathania, Janak Bharti, Prem Nath Dogra and Mahamantri ABVP Ravinder Sharma while addressing to the rally alleged that police and administration is deliberately boosting cattle smuggling in area to meet their urges for money by getting handsome amount as bribe from smugglers and this act is shameful and a black spot on Hindu Religion. They further blamed on the administration and police for harassing volunteers who dares to raise their voice against this smuggling by registering false cases against them. They said that the atrocities over cow would never be tolerated at any cost and Hindu people are ready to give lives for protection of their deity as cow. In this regard Gow Raksha Samiti is going to organize a Mahajagya at Mukherji Chowk on 22th of May.
