| JKNPP stages protest in support of Padder area's Ishtyari villagers' | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 19: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party staged a protest dharna in support of Padder area's Ishtyari villagers' demand of providing adequate teaching staff for the schools in the area. A large number of Ishtyari villagers led by JKNPP provincial secretary Anil Parihar gathered in front of the District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar and held a sit in there. The protesting villagers alleged that High School in the area is non functional due to shortage of staff and are being run by ReT teachers. They alleged that only three ReT teachers are managing the affairs of three hundred students in Ishtyari High School. Speaking on the occasion locals Payara Lal and Hans Raj said that they are worried about the future of their kids. They demanded posting of permanent teachers in school. The villagers alleged that there are only two rooms to house three hundred students and in case of bad weather school remain closed due to lack of accommodation. Villagers also alleged that there is a primary school in Shavas locality of Padder but no mid day meal is being given to students for the last two years and despite repeated requests to concerned ZEO of area nothing was done which forced them to march at district headquarter JKNPP leader Anil Parihar urged government and district administration to provide basic facilities to villagers who are already facing problems due to lack of basic facilities in the area. He said that administration should organize a open Darbar in such remote areas to listen the genuine problems of people.
