| Lovers attempt suicide; girl dies, boy serious | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 19:
In a suicide pact, a youth and her lover attempted on their lives by consuming poison at Muthi near here this morning. While the girl died, her lover was struggling for his life at the Government Medical College Hospital here, police said. aka (22) and Billi (20), both residents of Muthi, swallowed poison at about 9 am as their parents were allegedly opposed to their marriage.
On receiving information, a police party rushed to the spot and shifted the duo to hospital. Police said while Billi died on way to hospital, Kaka was undergoing
treatment at the GMC Hospital and his condition was stated to be critical.
Police had registered a case in this connection and launched investigations.
