| Science topper wants to become an IAS officer | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, May 19: Chetan Chalotra, a student of R S J N Higher Secondary School Kathua and the topper in the Plus Two examinations in Science stream with a total score of 712, wants to become an IAS officer. He has scored 141, 148 and 147 in Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology while he managed to get 138 marks each in English and Chemistry. "I want to become an IAS officer and continuous efforts had to be put in for the Civil Services competitive examinations," he said. In the immediate future, he wants to study BE Electronic and Communication. "The credit of my success goes to my school teachers, parents and friends who always stood behind me to achieve this target. My next aim is to be an engineering graduate in Electronics and Communication. After the completion of graduation in engineering, I would prepare myself for IAS exams," the elated topper shares with Early Times. The teachers of my school expected a lot rather than me due to their constant efforts in adopting systematic methods of teaching for productive results in the academic year. "Our school has attained good repute in the district as it had been clinching positions since past two years. It was the dream of our school principal to register hat-trick in the results this year," he said. His mother Pushpa Devi, a housewife said that he never wasted time at home and it was his hardwork and dedicated that helped him to achieve this position. His father, Rattan Chand Chalotra, an ASI in Jammu and Kashmir Police, was also ecstatic. The parents attributed his son's success to efforts of his son's hard work and teachers' guidance. Chetan had clinched 15th position in his Secondary School examination by securing 94.8 per cent marks.
