EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 19: Shivang Sharma, who secured third position in Commerce subjects, was not aware about the declaration of Higher Secondary Part Two results till late afternoon. Interestingly, he came to know about his achievement only when this scribe contacted him on landline phone for his views over the success. "I am really surprised that I am one of the toppers. I want to thank my parents and teachers who supported me a lot. My school teachers posed great faith on me and conducted more preparatory exams which helped me to score well," said Shivang. Shivang is not only a brilliant student but also a national player in basketball. He has represented Jammu and Kashmir State in national games six times and he never compromised with his sports career. "I plan to do my graduation from Shri Rama Krishana College of Commerce New Delhi and want to be a Chartered Accountant in life. But, at the same time I would not compromise with my sports career and wish to continue it in near future too," jubilated Shivang said. "I had prepared my syllabi in the month of December and I participated in national games in January 2010. Though I could not study for a month, yet I managed to get third position in the examination," he said. "Sports To Meri Life Hai, Main Isko Kaise Chod Sakta Hoon….." he responded when asked whether sports has affected his study. "There's no point in studying 12-14 hours a day. I used to study for 3-4 hours a day. I prefer to study at night. But, I never missed to play my game," he remarked. He gave the credit of his success to his parents, teachers and coaches, saying "the credit of this success goes to all those people are linked to me."
