| J&K CNGEEU holds demonstration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER

J&K Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union (J&KCNGEEU alongwith activist of J&K Electrical Employees Joint Action Forum held a massive demonstration in front of the office of the Divisional Commissioner Mubarak Mandi Jammu and Chief Engineer M&RE Complex, in support of their long pending demands. The programme was organized by Parshotam Sharma, State Secretary and Mohd. Aslam Choudhary, Senior Vice –President, Jammu Province of J&KCNGEEU. The demonstrations were held under the chairmanship of Ghulam Rasool Mir at Srinagar and D.S Azad at Jammu of J&K Electrical Joint Action Forum.
During demonstration the speakers resented the dilly-dallying tactics of the authorities in mitigating the genuine 13 demands on which various meeting were held by the authorities but without any concrete results.
P.C Sharma, Provincial President (J&KCNGEEU), Jammu has sought for full implementation of SRO-149 in PDD/PDC strictly according to seniority both in case of skilled, semi-skilled and ITI Categories. Mohd. Aslam Choudhary and Parshotam Sharma has sought for proper designation as per SRO-381 and strongly opposed the proposal of recruitment rules as for as direct recruitment is concerned. They said that a scope for regularization of existing daily wagers need to be kept in the proposed (revised) recruitment rules.
While addressing the demonstration P.N Raina Senior Vice President J&K State Incharge Jammu region has strongly urged the govt. for practically implementation of various decisions arrived at in the high level meetings particularly for approaching the cabinet for creation of the posts for newly added infrastructure and seeking transfer of funds for the wages. He also stressed for regularization of casual labour.
