EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 27: Shri Baba Amarnath and Shri Baba Buda Amarnath Yatra Niyas would take an impressive 'Shobha Yatra' on 'Jaishth Purnima' falling on June 26 to highlight the religious importance of annual Amarnath pilgrimage.
A meeting of Niyas was organised at 'Shakti Ashram' which was attended by the constituent members of Niyas and representatives of various prominent Hindu organizations including business, traders, industrial, philanthropist and social groups to discuss about the arrangements of the following yatra of Shri Amarnath. It was unanimously decided to work collectively and co-operate fully for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Yatra. The participants also stressed to have a meeting at the earliest with the Chairman of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, N N Vohra, who is Governor of Jammu and Kashmir state, so that various pending demands and issues, which were earlier brought into his notice through the memorandum submitted to him during the previous meetings could be implemented before the starting of Yatra and necessary action could be taken in time.
During the meeting Surinder Mohan Aggarwal, who is the president of Niyas, proposed the constituent members and the representatives of the other organisations, who were present in the meeting for organising a "Vishal Havan Yagya" before the commencement of this yatra.
He also put forth the idea of organizing a "Shobha Yatra of Shri Amarnath" on the same day after the havan yagya, which shall pass through the entire main bazaars of Jammu city and an atmosphere for welcoming the Yatris of Shri Amarnath is created in the entire main bazaars of Jammu city, and an atmosphere for welcoming the Yatris of Amarnath is created in the entire state.
Both decisions were unanimously agreed by all the members present in the meeting and all of them assured the full cooperation and participation in these events.
