| Sawhney exposes PDP's 'cheap donkey politics' | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 27 : Alleging that leadership in People's Democratic Party (PDP) was feeling 'suffocated', former spokesman of the party A K Sawhney today said PDP was a bundle of communist and anti-nationalists. The former Spokesperson of PDP and senior advocate A K Sawhney has exposed the PDP ledership for its double standards, hypocrisy and 'cheap donkey politics' while addressing a press conference here today. He said that the question arises- did I resign first or resigned after expulsion, the entire media can testify to that after the news of my resignation spread like wildfire, the PDP media managers issued an afterthought press statement through a "hired" press reporter working in a national daily, stating that I had been expelled. Quoting the reasons the press note said that since there was a donkey brought in one of the PDP's rallies on April 26, and it carried Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's photo with some "vulgar" slogans, therefore the party president Mehbooba Mufti had directed an inquiry into the issue, which indicted Sawhney on the day he resigned. Sawhney said that there was no inquiry on the "Donkey issue" against him, neither he has been given any show cause notice or any charge sheet by any inquiry officer. So much so he said that he does not know anything about the inquiry, or who the inquiry officer was? Do they know how an inquiry is conducted; I had to be given a chance to rebut the same and termed these donkey acts as cheap and after- thought. He took a dig at the 'donkey politics' of these frustrated bunch of PDP leaders and said that he was surprised to know about the donkey inquiry if any. He said that it amused him, that the PDP was holding an inquiry as to who brought a donkey with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's photos. He said more amusing was that you ruin that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's character in assembly by alleging his and his father Dr Farooq Abdullah's involvement in sex scandal and PDP MLAs had to come out red faced with embarrassment, was that not vulgar or cheap? Then the 3 Idiots controversy where the Abdullah dynasty, Sheikh Abdullah, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah were depicted as 3 monkeys and 3 Idiots, even that was forwarded by the party president Mehbooba Mufti, even that was not deplorable but a donkey with photo of Chief Minister and written on it "Main Ek Nojawaan Gadha Hoon" was vulgar, cheap and anti PDP, he questioned. He alleged that be it Baglihar Project, Dulhasti, inter-district recruitment, Amarnath Yatra or NHPC, PDP always adopted anti-developmental strategies and created hurdles in the development of the Jammu region. Mr Sawhney also rejected PDP's 'Self Rule' document alleging that it demands representation of Pakistani members in Regional Assembly, which would never be acceptable to the Government of India.
