Man held for selling adulterated soft drinks

JAMMU, May 27: A soft drink factory being run secretly at Domana here was today sealed and its owner arrested for his alleged act of selling adulterated drink in the bottles of branded companies. The illegal factory being run in the name of Sharma & Co. belonged to Om Parkash, of Domana, police source said, he was alleged to be running the illegal trade of selling adulterated drinks in the bottles of Coco Cola, Thumpsup, Limca and Pepsi,
Acting on a tip of, police today raided his factory and seized hundreds of empty bottles and several bottles filled with sub standard drinks were also seized, sources said. Om Parkash was arrested and whisked away to Domana police station there he was cooling his teeth in the lock up. He was booked under relevant sections of law. It may be mentioned that police had last month seized and illegal polythenes factory in the same area.
