JAMMU: Panic gripped the railway station here last night after police recovered an unclaimed bag containing five magazines of Insas rifle, its rounds and some pouches from platform No 1.
Official sources said during routine searches at the railway station, police recovered an unclaimed bag from platform No 1 last night.
After the recovery of five Insas magazines, rounds and some pouches from the bag, police sounded an alert at the railway station, the sources added.
However, after preliminary investigation, it was found that the bag belonged to sepoy Manpreet Singh of 12 Sikh rifles. It was later handed over to an officer at Transit Camp, sources said.
