| Pandits meet British High Commissioner | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 29: A delegation of valley based Kashmiri Pandit leaders was invited by the British High Commissioner visiting Srinagar to discuss the concern about the shrinking minority in Kashmir. The British High Commissioner expressed concern, "Why KP's are continuing to trickle out of the valley in spite of improving security situation?" The Pandit leaders explained to the visiting dignitary about economic hardships facing the minority community, and lack of political and cultural space due to indifferent civil society and unhelpful State government in Srinagar. Specific examples and related documents were provided to the High Commissioner, who took a serious note of the ground realities, and promised to forward his assessment to the respective authorities in Britain. The delegation included Vinood Pandit of All Party Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC), M,L,Bhat of Hindu Welfare Society Kashmir; and Dr.T.N.Gangoo of Kashmiri Pandit Sangrash Samiti.
