| 30363 animals treated in Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, June1: Animal Husbandry Department Kathua treated as many as 30363 animals against non-contagious diseases besides department provided dosing to 24649 animals against liver fluke and intestinal worms during first two months of the current financial year.The department vaccinated 16115 animals. Under poultry sector the department vaccinated 488500 birds.Under cattle development programme artificial insemination was done to 5043 cows and buffaloes and natural services were provided to 25 cows and buffaloes. The department recorded 1842 births and performed 2164 castrations during the period.
