| Manhas concludes visit of Kashmir Valley | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jun 1: On the last day of week-long tour of different areas of Kashmir valley, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president, Shamsher Singh Manhas today addressed a workers convention at Anantnag. The BJP activists from whole of Anantnag district had gathered here to meet state president and discussed with him the organizational and political activities to be under taken in their respective areas. Manhas, while addressing the convention, said that the BJP activists in the valley really deserve appreciation for their untiring efforts to encourage and strengthened the nationalist forces when many elements have been working against the nation's interests in the state. He said, "National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been focusing on such policies which provoke the masses. Congress has always opted to keep mum just for sake of power. In such situation, the duty of BJP activists is thus more challenging and the history has witnessed that our workers have made sacrifices for the full integration of the state with rest of the country." He also expressed concern over plight of the educated youth in the state and charged the NC-Congress coalition of turning a deaf ear towards them. The BJP state president also criticized the administration in Kashmir for not giving proper attention to the issues being raised by the BJP leaders and activists here. He stressed upon the valley administration to function in an impartial manner instead of working at the dictates of Congress, NC and PDP leaders.
