| Stone crusher owners call on chairman PCB | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 1: A deputation of Stone Crushers Owner Association, Jammu Province called on newly appointed chairman, J&K Pollution Control Board, Lal Chand, and highlighted various issues pertaining to environment up gradation. The deputation was led by president of the association, Vikram Randhawa. The associations assured the chairman of all possible support and convinced him that the stone crusher owners of Jammu province would follow all the rules and norms of Pollution Control Board in their respective units. Randhawa also handed over a written commitment for planting 10000 trees in coming monsoon season in their respective Stone Crusher Units in entire Jammu province in an effort to save and preserve the environment. Highlighting various problems being faced by the Stone Crushers Owner in Jammu, Randhawa said that stoner crusher owner have been facing hardships in taking NOC from Pollution Control Board. He said that stone crushers have to wait for months together to get NOC from the department. He appealed the Chairman to also support and cooperates with the Stone Crushers Owners to mitigate their suffering and problems. The Chairman J&K Pollution Control Board Lal Chand gave patient hearing and assured the members of Stoner Crushers Owners Association Jammu prov-ince that his department would provide cooperation to them. Among others who accompanied Vikram Randhawa included Anil Gaind, Col J S Sudan, Ved Choudhary, Badrinath, Dr Manhas Maqsud Choud-hary, Sonam Singh, Parveen Singh, Raju Pargal, Sudhir Mehta, and Ramesh Kapoor, and besides On the occasion Regional Director J&K Pollution Control Board B M Sharma, Executive Engineer J N Sharma, AEEs Atul Jandial and Ashok Gupta were also present.
