| Harsh demands Youth crops for Mansar, Dalsar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 1: Harsh Dev Singh NPP MLA and its working Chairman has strongly condemned the out services and sports department of rightly unjust, capricious and discriminatory treatment being doled out to Jammu region by it. He said that the said department has sanctioned 500 posts of National Youth Corps for Dal Lake and advertised the same for being filled up by youth of Kashmir. He said likewise additional posts stand created for Nagin Lake and Shrines of Kashmir where local unemployed youth would be absorbed on a monthly honorarium of Rs.2500/- per month by the department of youth services and sports. Singh however regretted that the lakes of Jammu region including Mansar lake, Dalsar Lake, Surinsar lake and Sanasar lake besides the important holy shrines of Pingla Mata, Chountra Mata, Narsingh Ji temple and Akshardham temple of Ramnagar, Khoon Shiv temple besides Peer Baba Shrine of Ramnagar have been totally ignored and not a single post created for the same. He said Mansar and Dalsar lakes besides the shrines of the area have even otherwise been neglected by the government in the allotment of funds and this fresh doze of discriminatory treatment was totally unacceptable and highly condemnable. Singh said that it was tragic and Shameful that Jammu based lakes and shrines had been neglected by the said department despite the fact that it was headed by a Jammu based Minister. He cautioned the Minister for youth services and sports to undo the wrong failing which the NPP would launch a full throttle offensive against the government. Harsh Dev Singh further lambasted the sports department for mismanagement, chaos, anarchy and rampant corruption. He said that it was most scandalous and anomalous that the department had withheld the funds of the previous year sanctioned for construction of play fields and mini stadium in the cabinet -cum-DDB and had not released the same till date. He said that the funds which ought to have been utilized by the sports department before March 31, 2009 were not even released to the executing district s thereby providing the most glaring instance of financial mismanagement and fiscal violations. Harsh dev Singh further observed that several blocks of the state had been sanctioned by government of India for development under PYKKA scheme of sports in April 2009. He regretted that execution work could not be even started by the department in any of the said blocks of the state despite the lapse of more than one year. Flying the criminal negligence and culpable apathy of the concerned authorities, Harsh Dev Singh warned of vigorous demonstrations in case the anomalies in the working of the department were not immediately rectified. He appealed the state Governor to call for the record of the youth services and sported department and issue appropriate directions for undoing the justice and for removal of regional imbalances. He also governor's intervention for putting the derailed machinery of the department back on rails by taking appropriate measures.
