| KP youth to go on hunger strike during PM's visit | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 3: Enraged over the state government's alleged unplanned policy regarding rehabilitation of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits in Valley, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) has called for two-day-long hunger strike in Srinagar during the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the State on June 7 and 8. Talking to the media persons here, R.K Bhat, president YAIKS and member Apex Advisory Committee implementing the PM Rehabilitation Package for the displaced people, alleged that government is taking unilateral decision and views of representatives of the Pandits are not taken into consideration. "We want to convey to PM that how the state government is implementing the rehabilitation policy without the consent of the KP representatives and all the plans are being implemented rashly," the YAIKS leader charged. He said that the core group of YAIKS has taken a serious concern about ignoring KP youth in all Apex committee deliberations for the settlement of various issues relating to the community. "This past practice seems to be repeated during the forth coming visit of Prime Minister of India to Srinagar in June 7 and 8. We, the youth, want to communicate some grave flaws in the implementation of the employment package for migrants," the leader maintained.
