JAMMU, June 3: The district magistrate, Srinagar today denied permission to Engineer Abdul Rashid, MLA Langat for holding peaceful demonstrations on Monday. Pertinent to mentioned, the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh is scheduled to visit Kashmir on Monday.
Engineer Rashid, according to a local news agency wanted to register protest over Nadihal fake encounter killings with the prime Minister.
Rashid, however, expressed determination to go ahead with the protests. "I am an MLA. As an elected representative of the people, I will go ahead with my programme", he made clear.
