| 15 days EDP on Dairy Farming concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 3: 15 days Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) on Diary Farming under prestigious Seed Capital Fund Scheme of Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth concluded. Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) organized programme wherein 30 participants from different areas of Jammu region participated to get groomed and trained which enable them to start their business ventures in Dairy Farming. Number of resource persons of State and national repute were made to interact and train the participants during the course of training programme. Seed Capital Fund Scheme is a prime component of SKEWPY which enable the educated unemployed youth of the State to get trained and also a non-refundable amount equal to 35% of the project cost. Yaquoob Zargar, Director Rural Development Department Jammu was Chief Guest on the occasion. He congratulated the participants for opting into Dairy Entrepreneurship and asked them to inculcate commitment and hardwork attitudes so as to achieve the success in their enterprise.He appreciated the efforts of the Institute in imparting the training with higher standards. In addition D.K Sharma, Manager Cattle Yard Farm, Military Dairy Jammu Cantt., Dr. K.L Khajuria, LDO Belicharana, Kulbushan Khajuria, President Jammu Kashmir Agri. Entrepreneurship Development Association, Vishal Ray, Asstt. Faculty JKEDI and other officials of the Institute were present on the occasion. The programme started with the introduction and welcome note by Dr. MM Khan Coordinator Agri. Entrepreneurship. He briefed about the Scheme and the component of training programme to the guests. K.L Khajuria, LDO Belicharana while interacting with the participants assured of full cooperation to the individuals as well as the EDI for their upcoming ventures in the trade. He wished that these efforts by the Institute shall enable the State of Jammu and Kashmir to achieve the same status in milk production as is being achieved by Rajasthan. D.K Sharma, Manger Cattle Yard Farm, Military Dairy Jammu Cantt. focused on the need of Entrepreneurship so as to bring the peace and development in the trouble torn state. He was in the favor of motivating more and more women entrepreneurs so that the fair sex may acquire an equal growth opportunity in male dominated society. President JKAEDA, Kulbushan Khajuria also spoke on the occasion. Later, the Chief Guest awarded the certificates to the participants on their successful completion of EDP. This was the second EDP under the scheme. A similar programme for Travel and Tourism Trade ended on 30 May under the coordination ship of Vishal Ray, Asstt. Faculty JKEDI in which nearly 15 participants were awarded with certificates.
