| JU holds Campus Sports Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 3: Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu organised annual Campus Sports Day-cum-prize distribution function in a colourful manners on the campus here this afternoon.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu, Prof Varun Sahni was chief guest, who gave away prizes to the winners of different sports events held during the year.
He also felicitated the sportspersons, who represented the University in the inter-varsity tournaments during the last three years.
Sylvia A Sahni was guest of honour while Dean Academic Affairs, Prof R D Sharma and Registrar JU, Dr P S Pathania presided.
Prizes were given away to those JU teams which excelled in the inter-college competitions as also to winners of inter-department and inter-hostel as well the events held for teachers and officers of the University of Jammu.
To add colours to the Campus Sports Day, the students from Physical Education and Department of Dogri presented colourful cultural programme.
In his address, Vice Chancellor appreciated the Campus Sports Committee and Directorate of Sports and Physical Education for involving such a big number of students and staff members of JU in sports activities.
Earlier, Director Sports, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, who is also chairman Campus Sports Committee, presented a brief note of the activities in his well come address. Physical Training Instructor (PTI) Campus, Romesh Sharma presented vote of thanks.
