| Charak visits Kheer Bawani inspects complex contruction | | | Srinagar, October 17 – To boost the pilgrim tourism the state government has constructed residential quarters with all basic facilities in the premises of Kheer Bawani temple at Ganderbal in Srinagar district. The complex includes 4 one room tenement buildings, shops, pooja halls, hawan shalla, reception center, and yatries dormitory. The complex is under execution at an estimated cost of Rs. 17.50 crore and is likely to be completed by Dec 2006. This information was given to the Minister for R&B Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak during his visit to the Kheer Bawani temple today. The Minister instructed the concerned executing agency to complete the complex within stipulated period positively adding that landscaping around the temple shall also be taken up soon. Minister also paid obeisance, at the holy temple. A number of local deputations met the minister and projected various problems particularly improvement and upgradation of roads at Tulmulla-Barsooa, Balpora, Sehpora and Numbal road. Mr. Charak gave patient hearing to the deputationists and assured them that the government has already drafted various road connectively programme to facilitate the people particularly in rural and far flung areas. Chief Engineer R&B Mr. Nazir Ahmad Shah, General Manager JKPCC Dalip Tisoo, Senior Congress leader Mr. Mustaq Bazaz were accompanying the Minister.
