| Aziz for preparing computerized inventory of evacuee property | | | Srinagar, October 17, – A high level meeting to review and initiate action over the points raised by various members in the legislature in the last assembly session and assurances given by the government held here today under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Revenue, Finance, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz.
Financial Commissioner, Revenue Mr. G. D. Wadhwa, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Mr. Pramod Jain, Custodian General Syed Kifayat Hussain, Deputy Commissioner (Central), Mr. R. C. Sharma and Secretary Revenue, Mr. Masood Samoon were present in the meeting.
The meeting held threadbare discussion on several important issues of public importance and Minister asked Divisional Commissioners Kashmir and Jammu to direct all Deputy Commissioners to launch a drive to get state land evacuated from encroachers within two months and also to prepare inventories of all evacuee properties in both the divisions of the state and get it computerized.
The matter regarding enhancement of honorarium of village chowkidars and Nambardars also came up for discussion and it was decided to take up this matter with the Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad for appropriate at the earliest.
Mr. Aziz asked the officers to take up the problems of people on priority so that benefit of the people-friendly schemes of the government reach out at the grass root level.
