| Painters Camp gets underway at Sanasar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, June 5: To explore the splendid scenic beauty of Sanasar and its surrounding area and also to boost tourism industry of the state, a week long National level Artists (Painters) camp got underway at the picturesque Sanasar on Saturday. The Camp is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department in collaboration with Patnitop Development Authority, Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering, District Administration, Ramban and Subah Art Gallery, Jammu. The artists camp was formally inaugurated by Deputy Director Tourism Jammu, Arvind Kotwal and Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop Development Authority, Dr. Modh. Akram Malik. As many as ten renowned painters of inter-national and national repute are participating in the camp. These artists include Yousuf (Bhopal), Vector Silbhaskar ( Tamilnadu), Manash Ranjan Jinah (Bhubneswar), B. Bhaskar ( Patna), Sridhar Iyer (New Delhi), Mannju Karmakar (Delhi), Amit Soni (Bhopal), Arshad Suleah (Kashmir), Soni Aggarwal (Jammu) and K.K Gandhi (Jammu). The painting camp is being planned by the Ministry of Tourism, to increase the State's profile as an artistic destination, by showcasing works by renowned artists. During the camp, each artists would get ready to paint and that too would remain with the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department.Among others Assistant Director Tourism National Highway, Officers of Patnitop Development Authority and other Departments were present on the occasion.
