| Sonia may visit Kashmir in Sept | | |
JAMMU: Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who toured Jammu for a day on May 29 last, is expected visit Kashmir in September next. She was likely to visit Srinagar early September but the exact dates were being worked out, according to sources in PCC.
When Sonia came here on May 29, she was also scheduled to visit Kashmir, but the plans could not materialise that time PCC chief Saifuddin Soz called on her in New Delhi three days back, requesting her to visit Kashmir as soon as possible.
When contacted, Soz said Sonia was "positive" when he made the request. The PCC president said her trip to Jammu was very successful and her visit to Kashmir was overdue. On his meeting with Sonia, he said he discussed party affairs and the political situation in the state.
