| LJP ridicules govt. for charging fee on langers | | | Early Times report Jammu, June 5: A meeting of LJP was held under the Chairmanship of Sanjeev Manmotra, State working President. Manmotra expressed his serious concern over the total neglect of Jammu region in all sectors by the dispensation. They urged state and Centre government to not avoid step motherly treatment with Jammu region. They demanded separate funds for all three regions of the state by the planning commission and other departments of the central government so that each region and area get its due share. Members asked Chief Minister for drafting an effective and meaningful policy to fight the corruption in high offices of the state being noticed as the breeding centers of this big evil. They further urged that the situation in rural areas is terrible as there is no drinking water, non availability of medicare facilities, electricity, poor telecommunication and road network besides shortage of staff and infrastructure in government schools-Hospitals- dispensaries etc. Leaders alleged that coalition government has failed to deliver to the public. LJP leaders have strongly criticized the government for imposing Rs 25000 as non refundable security deposit on the organizations setting up free langers during Amarnath Yatra. Manmotra asked as to why successive governments in J&K create controversies during annual Amarnath Yatra and thus create hurdles in smooth functioning. He cautioned the government to leam from past agitation, which paralyzed normal life in J&K. They urged government to revoke the same immediately. M.R.Puri, Om Raj, Gen.
