| Training on Agriclinics, Agribusness Centers Schemes conclude | | | Early Times report Jammu , June 5: Indian Society of Agribusiness Professional (lSAP) in partnership with National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad completed two months training programme on , Agriclinics and Agribusness Centres Scheme' for new batch comprising 35 trainees of agriculture and allied subject graduates. Valediction Function of the training programme was chaired by A. K Malhotra, Dy. Director (Central), Department of Agriculture, Jammu. Programme aims to encourage agriculture and allied sector graduates, to set-up Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centres for employment generation and to provide quality extension services to the farmers. The trainees after completion of the training programme can set up their own enterprises in any agriculture and allied fields. In his valediction address, Dy Director Agriculture emphasized the importance of this training programme which will help in accelerating the existing agriculture extension network in the process of technology transfer and providing supplementary sources of input supply and services. He also stressed importance of this course in starting enterprises in diverse areas of agriculture such as honey production, floriculture, horticulture, custom hiring service, by the trained graduates for income generation. Malhotra also mentioned other agriculture department sponsored schemes, which can be taken up by these trainees. Earlier, M. S. Nargal, Project Officer of the training programme, gave brief account of the ACABC trainining programme, its objectives, benefits, subsidy components, and types of projects which can be taken up by these trainees.
