| NGO submits memorandum | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, June 5: Speak India Environmental Foun-dation NGO submitted a memorandum to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. In memorandum stress was laid on fact that Environmental degradation caused by digging out of sand and stones at various places in river Raavi in Kathua creates impact upon the ecosystem and the environment of area and it has devastating consequences in the times of climate change. Foundation in its memorandum submitted on the eve of World Environment Day urged the administration to preserve the water level of river Raavi, so that the Environmental degradation is nipped in the bud. A copy of the memorandum was also forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner Kathua. The delegation was led by Mahesh Kaul, Spokesperson. Others who constituted the delegation included Gurmeet Singh, President, Jammu District, Jeetinder Kumar.
