JAMMU, June 7: Delighted over the second consecutive title victory of University of Jammu (JU) in the prestigious All India Vice Chancellors Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Varun Sahni accorded a warm reception to the winning team on the campus, here this morning.
Prof Sahni, who was accompanied by the host of senior JU officers, including Registrar, Dr P S Pathania and Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhain Singh Bhau, garlanded the entire contingent and interacted with the skipper, Akash Bhola and man of the series, Raj Kumar.
Later, speaking to the team at the JU guest house, VC expressed his desire to make the University of Jammu a hub of sports activities not only for the students but for staff members also.
It is pertinent to mention here that the JU team comprised of staff clinched the title beating the University of Kashmir.
