Rs. 35 lakh link road inaugurated at Gangyal Garden

JAMMU, June 7: Coalition Government is making concerted efforts to connect every nook and corner of the peripheral areas with nearest headquarters in providing road connectivity stated Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla while addressing a large gathering after inaugurating one and half kilometer link road at Gangyal Garden in Gangyal, coming up at a cost of Rs. 35 lakh, here this morning.
He also said that Government has taken various initiatives to develop all the peripheral areas of the State at par with urban centres by providing all infrastructural facilities there.
He asked the officers to personally monitor the quality of the ongoing projects in their individual areas adding that government has resolved to create durable assets in the State.
He appealed the people to protect public property.
Responding to the local demands, the Minister asked the Floriculture Department to prepare the estimate for developing the embankment areas of the Ranbir canal as parks and walkways.
He asked the people not to dump garbage on the edge areas of the nallahs and help the authorities in keeping the city clean and beautiful.
He said that Government has planning to construct parks by covering the nallahs.
To improve the power and drinking water scenario in the Gangyal and its adjoining areas, the Minister said that 18 sub-stations have been dedicated besides Rs. 3.5 crore tube well has been commissioned recently.
To ease rush in the main hospitals of city of temple, Government is planning to upgrade Rajiv Gandhi Hospital upto 100-bedded hospital by providing all infrastructural facilities there for the benefit of general masses.
He said that Government has also approved Rs. 1.60 crore for construction of Primary Health Centres at Bhour Camp and Rs. 1.50 crore at Gaddigarh. He said that for the convenience of the people a Revenue Office with adequate staff would be established soon.
At Green Belt Park, the road widening work was started in the presence of the Minister, for which Rs. 7.50 lakh have been earmarked.
