| Abandoned bag creates panic at Rly Stn | | | Early times Report Jammu, June 7: Panic gripped Jammu Tawi Railway Station when police recovered an abandoned bag from the platform here. As the abandoned bag was found lying at the platform, panic gripped people following which police party rushed to the spot and seized the bag, official sources said. During frisking, we recovered gold worth Rs one lakh and two drafts worth Rs 7.64 lakh along with documents and an identity card, a senior police official said. He said during investigations it was found that the bag belonged to one Puran Singh Thakur, son of Durga Dass, resident of village Sadoh, tehsil Mandi of Himachal Pradesh. The owner of the bag, got retired from 67 Armed Regiment and was going to Ahmed Nagar but forgot to carry the bag along with him, police said. He has been informed while the bag would be handed over to him along with the items here tomorrow, police added.
